Economy grew by dismaying 0.44 per cent in 2013

Albania economy grew by only 0.44 per cent during 2013 the slowest growth since 1997 says national Institute of Statistics. But the worst part of the economic slowdown may be over.

For the fourth quarter 2013, yearly GDP growth was 1.1 per cent, compared to the 2.5 per cent fall in the third quarter.

All data are subject to revisions.

Authorities expect a 2.1 per cent growth this year. The International Monetary Fund expect full growth of more than four per cent from 2017.
